Everyone needs to get out of town from time to time. I certainly wanted to do just that this weekend. Happily, a few friends felt the same way (and several others expressed great disappointment at not being able to get away). So, Katie, Lizzie and I floated, paddled, ate and drank our way around Lake Bruin for a relaxing couple of days.
I also tried to shoot some time-lapse shots of the Milky Way rising (one of the frames of which is shown here). It remains to be seen if I can make anything out of them. My laptop just isn’t up to the task of handling all those images, so final results will have to wait until I get back to my desktop in Baton Rouge.
Lake Bruin has always been one of my favorite places, full-stop. It is even better when you get to share it with friends. If all goes to plan then I may well be back up here next weekend for Memorial Day. But, the details of that remain to be sorted out. Anyway, I hope you all had a nice weekend. It was pretty spectacular up here in north Louisiana.
